The EPA approves Copper Ionization as an
Antimicrobial Sanatizing agent

to control deadly infections.

To quote the EPA,
“For the first time, copper ion systems can be marketed legally in
U.S. using public health claims”.

The Environmental Protection Agency by announcing this major breakthrough of approving copper ions in protecting public health and playing a key role in preventing infections was the result of extensive real world testing.

Rigorous analysis by independent lab and hospital testing showed elimination of bacterial, fungal and viral pathogens within minutes. The list includes superbugs (MRSA – Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus), E. coli, streptococcus, fungi, influenza virus, bird flu, VRE (Vancomycin-resistant Enterococci), Acinetobacter baumanni, Clostridium difficile, molds, (Aspergillus niger), Legionella pneumophila. By using copper ion systems, we can help prevent over 2 million infections, save over 100,000 lives and the estimated $30 billion dollars in overall health care costs.

The variety of applications for this type of equipment is far ranging.

It includes Fiberglass Swimming Pools, Spas, Fountains, Homes, HVAC equipment, Cooling towers, Hospitals, Food and Potable water systems.

By preventing and combating growth of Viral, Bacteria, fungus, algae and mold in water treatment systems, copper ion systems will play a major role in non-toxic environmentally friendly methods of insuring the public health in both public and private spaces.

Numerous independent laboratory tests from NASA, health departments, and universities, and many years of field testing have confirmed the exceptional sanitizing ability of copper ionization. Studies further show that using copper can be effective against E. coli, Pseudomonas, Legionella Pneumophila (Legionnaires’ disease), Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Salmonella, and other pathogens—some of which have proven to be resilient even to high levels of chlorine.

Understanding the basics

"Ionization and Oxidation"

Both the Viking swimming Pool Systems as well as our Whole House Water Systemsuse our

advanced Ionization / Oxidation Flow Chamber pictured below.

The Science and technology of our "Flow Chamber" goes back to the Appolo Space mission of the 1960's where N.A.S.A. used simular systems to puify water while in Space.

Ionization is acheved by our computers releasing positive electricaly charged Copper ions in to water for one hour in a 24 hour day. The amount of ions that are released are controlled by the CL Free computer basied on water demand.

The Copper Ions kill Viral, Bacterial, Algae, Fungus and Mold.

Oxidation is the "Burning Up" or "Oxidizing" of organics and compounds like suntan lotion, body oils (in the Pool) as well as compounds found in City water like pharmaceuticals and VOC.

The Copper Ions are kept at a very low .5 to .7 parts per million for pools (.015 for Whole House Systems). The amount of copper Ions are less than 50% of the E.P.A.'s allowed drinking water standard. You could actually drink up to 4 gallons of your pool water every day and you would have no more Copper intake than a common multi-vitamin.

For Inground Viking Swimming Pool Systems, our Computer will only release copper ions for ONE hour each day, when your pool pump starts. In order to maintain the .5 to .7 parts per million on Copper Ions you have an unlimited number of maintenance power levels to choose from. The power level selected is based on the size (gallons) of your Pool.

For Whole House Systems, the Computer will release trace amounts (.015 ppm) whenever the water is running. You have complete control of the Ionization / Oxidation setting right on the front of the control unit.
